Logical Relations Therapy

Providing telemental health services to individuals, couples, and families trying to navigate life’s challenges

Our Mission

Logical Relations Therapy strives to provide culturally competent marriage, family, and individual therapy to people across the lifespan who prioritize personal growth and wish to utilize therapy to effectively handle life’s challenges. We recognize “mental health” not merely as a buzzword used to refer to poor individual functioning, but instead as an ever changing flowing state of mind constantly absorbing and responding to daily experiences. While there are hereditary components involved, mental health can also be strongly shaped every day by life events and relationships, which can either strengthen or impair individual functioning. Similar to physical health, mental health requires occasional fine tuning, which is helpful to receive from a trained objective source. At LRT, we utilize a strength based systemic approach that is tailored to help clients explore their life experiences and relationships for the purpose of promoting optimal mental health and aims to remove barriers that contribute to mental health concerns or relational conflict. Your therapist will become an extension of your primary support system as you navigate these everyday and not so everyday challenges in hopes of bringing out your ideal self. By providing a safe nonjudgmental environment, our goal remains to promote confidence in your authentic self and help you create the healthy, nurturing environment needed to thrive.

“Relatives in British English meant ‘logical relations’ until the seventeenth century, when they became ‘family members’.”

Like the scholar Donna Haraway, we at Logical Relations Therapy view relatives less as “individuals and genealogical families” and more as “symbiotic configurations of different kinds of beings maintained through the practice of care.”
